My Name is Keri Hill. I am now, and have always been a dancer through and through. I am IDTA (International Dance Teachers Association) qualified, specialising in Street, Freestyle, Rock’n’Roll, Ballroom, Latin and Contemporary.
At the tender age of 8, I took my very first dance class and although found the first lesson tough, I soon fell in love with the art and the freedom of expression it allowed me. From those early days my confidence and indeed ability grew and grew. As a result, I competed at a high level at many National Competitions across the United Kingdom in Ballroom, Latin, Rock’n’Roll & Disco Freestyle and from this I discovered, experimented and mastered many other different genres of dance.
I decided that my passion was something that I would like to turn in to my career. The rest, as they say, is history and I have now been confidently and successfully teaching for over 16 years. During this wonderful time I have taught so many different people in various establishments, from toddlers to 80 year olds, school children to soon-to-be newly weds, I’ve even taught a waltz for a Royal Wedding!
I have loved every minute of my teaching career so far. After many years of teaching for the Octagon Academy, and working extensively in may local primary schools teaching curriculum dance, I took the plunge and opened my very own dance studio.
We have created a lovey bright and positive space for our dancers to enjoy. A second home for many of our dancers and an environment we are very proud to call our own.
Within our first year, our dancing family has grown considerably and continues to expand beyond my wildest dreams. We now have an extensive timetable of various classes, welcoming another trained teacher, Tia, and already looking at expanding further in the near future.
